What You’ll Do as an Infrastructure + Mobility Group Manager Proactively pursue new business with existing and prospective clients by delivering exceptional service, promoting Fisher’s capabilities, building lasting relationships. Support the development and execution of strategic business plans. Oversee and coordinate multiple projects, ensuring priorities are aligned and deadlines are met. Manage project budgets, scope, schedule, and staffing to ensure successful, on-time delivery. Lead and prepare winning project proposals and serve as primary client contact throughout project delivery. Proactively identify, monitor, and resolve technical, schedule, or financial issues. Successfully lead and manage a team across multiple locations. Build and maintain a high-performing, motivated team with strong morale. Mentor staff in technical development, leadership, and client engagement. Set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and coach employees to support career growth. Navigate and support complex public processes and municipal approvals. Represent Fisher Associates in professional organizations, business boards, and community activities.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • 15+ years minimum in transportation civil engineering design
  • Professional Engineering License (PE)
  • 10 years minimum of project management experience
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to use metrics and data to drive performance and results.
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven client relationship and business development success in the transportation sector
  • Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation, AutoCAD, and OpenRoads a plus
  • Thorough understanding of transportation project development and delivery, including NCDOT, agency, and locally administered federal-aid projects.
  • Strong understanding of transportation engineering principles, including roadway or bridge design and regulatory standards.
