About The Position

Digby's Detective & Security Agency Inc. is a fully licensed and bonded, second generation family owned and operated security and public safety corporation. We partner with government and private agencies to address their security needs through the use of professionally trained armed/unarmed security officers, mobile patrols, physical security risk assessments, pre-employment background checks, security consulting and fingerprinting services. Digby's Detective & Security Agency, Inc. is also an Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations (IDFPR) Certified Training Academy. Our Department of Training and Certification offers IDFPR certified Unarmed and Armed courses each week, in addition to, numerous other security related training programs. Our clients include governmental agencies, financial institutions, residential communities, healthcare institutions, educational and commercial sectors, among others. We have served the Chicagoland area since 1979.

Requirements

Must be least at 25 years of age
Must have a valid driver's license with an adequate driving history
High school diploma or equivalent
20 Hours Unarmed Basic Training Certificate
Permanent Employment Registration Card (PERC Card)
Minimum of 3 years of supervisor experience
All applicants should have proof of their full vaccination status.
All officers hired must: -Be at least 21 years of age -Be certified in the State of Illinois as evidenced by providing a copy of their 20 and/or 40 hour training certificate by a State of Illinois certified training facility -Provide a valid State of Illinois Department of Professional Regulation Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) -Possess a valid Illinois Driver's License - Possess a Social Security Card -Possess a High School Diploma or GED -Undergo a complete criminal background check -Successfully pass a comprehensive Panel I through IV drug test -Possess a valid Firearms Owner Identification Card (FOID), if applicable -Pass a State of Illinois and Federal fingerprint background screening test -Qualify for an Agency Firearm Authorization Card (FAC), if applying for an Armed position

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, training and assistance of on-site specific duties and responsibilities to officers.
Ensuring the presence of security officers on site and performing properly.
Conduct uniform inspections, inspect security checkpoints, patrol logs and post condition evaluations.
Disperse required equipment and reporting forms to on duty officers on post and retrieve as needed.
Review activity reports, emergency reports, timesheet logs and other paperwork submitted by on duty officers.
Ensure that post orders are displayed and available on site for assigned officer.
Ensure that the on duty officer records and reports all emergencies.
Provide W/C information necessary to update the company's guard monitoring system and follow daily instructions as given by W/C or higher management.
Brief relieving supervisor of occurrences during shift (i.e. there was a flood at 2110 W. Deal St.)
Complete City of Chicago Remote Vehicular Supervisory Activity Report and vehicle inspection report.
Disseminate company notices such as important notifications or training courses.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a timely manner any changes or recommendations that could have impact on our service image or brand.
Ability to work in a team-oriented management environment and to solve problems with a sense of urgency.
