Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
• One (1) year of experience coordinating patient transport operations.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification or complete hospital provided certification within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Prior involvement in hospital/medical transfer processes.
• Computer skills to include Midas or similar computer application.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Emergency Medical Services, OR Respiratory Care Program, OR School of Nursing, OR a minimum 5 years of experience in Emergency Services, Critical Care area or EMS transport.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates all transport requests for discharged patients requiring transport to home or patients being transferred to another healthcare facility.
• Prioritizes all (emergent, urgent, routine) requests for transport, oversees safe and efficient transition between facilities and maintains record of all transports.
