This position will serve as a Project Engineer on small size road or bridge construction projects of relatively low complexity, and/or an inspector on larger more complex construction projects. This position will be the primary source of technical knowledge for project staff, providing guidance, technical assistance, direction, and solutions to construction and/or engineering related issues. The incumbent will be charged with directing and monitoring the complete and accurate documentation of the construction process, ensuring that all files are current and all progress estimates are accurate. As an inspector this position will be required to instruct and mentor lower-level technicians in basic plan reading, proper construction inspection methods, and testing methods for materials used in highway and bridge construction.
