About The Position

STV is seeking a Transportation Engineering Specialist to join the team in Georgia. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Successful completion of the FE exam to earn your EIT
  • 0+ years of experience
  • GDOT and municipal client experience is a plus
  • Proficient with MicroStation and Inroads/OpenRoads modeling design software
  • OpenRoads Designer experience is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with AASHTO and local agency design standards is required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Providing professional design services for transportation improvement projects for the GDOT and local County/City agencies
  • Developing design plans including horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections, typical sections, superelevation data and miscellaneous roadway detail sheets
  • Designing to adhere to ADA Standards
  • Coordinating design development and providing technical direction and mentorship to the design team
  • Coordinating with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget, and the development of specifications, cost estimates, reports and preparing final bid packages
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical and cost proposals
  • Maintaining relationships with client technical staff and project managers
  • Attending project meetings with clients, sub-consultants, and the project team
