About The Position
The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation (DOT), Bureau of Engineering and Construction, District 1 Surveys Section, is looking to hire a Transportation Engineer Trainee (Land Surveyor) with a target class of Transportation Engineer 1 (Construction Engineering) in Rocky Hill. Current students who will be graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management by the end of 2025 are strongly encouraged to apply! The District 1 Surveys section performs various types of land surveying, including topographic mapping, boundary and construction surveys. The Transportation Engineer Trainee (Land Surveyor) will learn to operate survey field instruments, use surveying software, and develop topographic mapping for future construction projects.
