About The Position

Our Ft. Lauderdale office is looking for an engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our Transportation Engineering team. The candidate will develop engineering traffic plans for projects including, but not limited to, Traffic studies, modeling, work zone traffic control, and signing and striping plans. The candidate will help train and mentor existing younger staff in both technical development and design software skills. This position will help support the growth of our traffic engineering team while actively participating in task management, problem solving, marketing and client interaction. Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in safety and traffic operations studies
  • Experience in crash data analysis, collision diagrams, and Highway Safety Manual methods
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, CADD, Synchro, and HCS software applications
  • Experience in GIS and transportation planning
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in preparing technical reports
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
  • Ability to work with and balance priorities among multiple projects
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Kimley-Horn in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of FDOT traffic and design guidelines is desirable

Responsibilities
