Discover your full potential - join us to advance your career while leaving a lasting legacy Your Role: The Transportation Engineer develops plans and reports for transportation projects according to established engineering standards and local, state, and/or federal policies and requirements.  This role will involve CEI - Construction Engineering & Inspection projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Oklahoma required, or able to obtain within 6 months
  • Familiarity with relevant transportation engineering codes and industry standards
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record, traveling to the project site is a requirement
  • Position requires periodic field site visits in state, approximately 1 hour of travel daily

Nice To Haves

  • ODOT or OTA experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage construction contracts in the field, ODOT and OTA
  • Issue change orders, pay estimates, final estimate, audit, and close out.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with clients
  • Write a scope of work for transportation Construction Engineering and Inspection - (CEI) services based on preliminary review and meetings with the client
  • Act as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers and technicians; manage and mentor staff
  • Acquire new projects from existing and potential clients
