The company is seeking a Transportation Civil Engineer I-II to join its team, focusing on transportation design. This position will be based out of Seattle, Puyallup, or Silverdale, Washington, and will operate on a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office presence at least 2-3 days per week for team and client collaboration, mentorship, and integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in transportation engineering or related field.
  • EIT or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Strong understanding or engineering fundamentals and interest in transportation design.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Civil 3D or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of transportation infrastructure for cities and counties throughout the Puget Sound Region, including: Roadways, intersections, and corridors; Bicycle and pedestrian facilities; Highway and freeway improvements; Fish passage culverts; Traffic control and signing/striping plans
  • Assist in the development of roadway plans, profiles, and cross sections using industry-standard design software.
  • Assist in the development of engineering documents such as plans, estimates, and technical reports.
  • Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and other disciplines.
  • Contribute to roadway design elements such as horizontal and vertical alignments, storm drainage systems, traffic control plans, and ADA-compliant pedestrian facilities.
