About The Position

The Transportation EIT/Coordinator at HDR plays a crucial role in supporting traffic forecasting, analysis, and design for various transportation projects. This position involves working closely with a traffic team under the guidance of a Project Engineer/Manager, utilizing advanced modeling tools and CAD platforms to conduct operational and safety analyses, and contributing to traffic design initiatives.

Nice To Haves

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
• Computer skills using Microsoft Office, Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
• Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a traffic team under the direction of the Project Engineer/Manager on a variety of traffic forecasting, analysis and design needs for transportation projects.
• Conduct operational traffic analysis using modeling tools, including highway capacity software and complex micro simulation models.
• Focus on traffic design, including accident analysis, mitigation strategies, signing, striping, traffic signals, lighting, and Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS).
• Conduct traffic design using CAD platforms such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Perform operational analysis using tools like HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and Aimsun.
• Conduct safety analysis using safety software tools including Highway Safety Software.
• Perform other duties as needed.
