About The Position

The Transportation Driver transports residents in a company van or bus to and from appointments and other outside events and destinations as directed or scheduled and in a manner that assures resident safety and comfort. This position requires a dependable individual who can navigate various routes while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. The driver will play a critical role in supporting operational logistics by maintaining vehicle condition and managing schedules. Effective communication with team members is vital to coordinate pickups and drop-offs smoothly. Ultimately, the driver contributes to the overall success of the organization by providing reliable transportation services that meet quality and safety standards.

Requirements

Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
Ability to read maps and use GPS navigation systems.
Physical ability to load and unload residents if required.
Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Previous professional driving experience in a similar role.
Good customer service skills to interact professionally with clients.

Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly to transport residents to designated locations.
Consults appropriate departments daily to determine/confirm transportation needs and schedules.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal vehicle condition.
Loads and unloads residents in a safe manner, according to written procedures.
Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
Keeps any records required to bill residents for transportation services and forwards to the business office.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues.
