Requirements
- Completion of CDL truck driving school
- Clean driving record; must pass physical exam
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of experience in route delivery experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in driving straight truck
- Basic computer skills
- Valid Commercial Driver s License (CDL), Class A or Class B.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently deliver product to company satellite locations, rotate and count inventory if necessary, process paperwork accurately, follow driver safety rules and provide professional customer service.
- Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
- Handle company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules, and perform pre-trip inspection.
- Ensure routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes or tire rotations, are performed in a timely manner on the delivery vehicle(s).
- Report accidents and injuries and any damage to equipment immediately.
- Exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities.
- Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary.
- Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law.
