PRN Transportation - Driver
About The Position
Hickory Trail Hospital, an 86-bed behavioral health facility located just south of Dallas, has been providing quality health care to the residents of DFW since 1988. Hickory Trail Hospital provides inpatient and day treatment for children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Our professional staff individualizes care to uniquely fit the intensity and severity of each client's case and their family's needs. Because crisis occurs at all times of the day and night, our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are also a proud supporter of the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention. Visit us online at https://www.hickorytrail.com/ The transportation drive is responsible for the daily transportation of patients to and from the Outpatient Services of Hickory Trail Hospital. The transporter is also responsible for behavioral management of patients while enroute and for reporting to the Coordinator any behavioral or safety issues.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year of experience driving a van type vehicle.
- Must have a current Texas driver’s license and have a clear driving record.
- CPI and CPR certification per must be completed prior to providing direct care services.
- Certification training is offered during new hire orientation.
- May be required to work flexible hours.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with patients or adults and children preferred.
Responsibilities
- Daily transportation of patients to and from the Outpatient Services of Hickory Trail Hospital.
- Behavioral management of patients while enroute
