About The Position

Guardian has an immediate need for a Part Time Transportation Driver to join our team at Alpine Ridge! Alpine Ridge is a 60-unit Senior Independent Living Community in Mount Vernon, WA that offers services to the residents. The Transportation Driver will be responsible for safely transporting residents to activities, appointments, and shopping trips, away from the Creekside Village community. This includes assisting the Activity Director and the Executive Director's efforts to present a caring and professional rapport with residents, as well as to work in compliance with applicable government programs for the property, enforcing property, and Guardian policies and procedures, and adhering to Fair Housing and CDC guidelines for COVID-19 transportation services at all times. For this position, we are seeking a dynamic self-starter who enjoys working with others and excels in a fast-paced service oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, professional and communicative.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • At least one year of professional driving and/or transportation coordination experience.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a timely manner; both verbally and in writing.
  • Possess a valid and current driver's license and maintain authorization to drive company vehicle.
  • Able to complete company training requirements for this position within pre-determined deadlines and attend other training sessions as required.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Guardian Management, LLC and Creekside Village in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Support Activity Director and the Executive Director's efforts to assure that the company's efforts fully meet and exceed property management obligations.
  • Work in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws (Fair Housing, OSHA, etc).
  • Drives Creekside Village Community Van and Bus, to and from destinations, safely and according to schedule.
  • Assist in planning and implementing and coordinating with the Front Office Receptionist the Creekside Village Community Bus and Van schedules.
  • Promptly report any concerns regarding safe and proper functioning of Bus or Van to Activity Director and Executive Director.
  • Make sure the interiors of Creekside Village Bus and Van are neat and clean. Make sure the exteriors of both vehicles are washed and clean.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships between Creekside Village departments, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings.
  • Accurately record time worked, adhere to time keeping guidelines, obtain approval for any overtime and coordinate your schedule with your supervisor to account for company training and to avoid overtime.
  • Make sure Bus and Van gas tanks are full prior to transportation trips.
  • Other duties as assigned by Activity Director and Executive Director.
