In the role of Transportation Drainage Coordinator/EIT, we'll count on you to: Work as a member of a design team in preparation of the following elements of roadway and highway design using local (state, county or city) or HEC/USACE standards: hydrology, hydraulics, must know or be willing to work in CAD (both Civil 3D and Microstation), storm drain layout, ditch and channel design, interchange layout, roadway drainage, hydrologic assessment of watersheds, Floodplain and Riverine Analysis. Work with a team in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimate for projects of various sizes and complexity Produce some of the following plans: Drainage Reports, Drainage Plan and Profiles, Temporary Erosion Control Plans, Site Preparation Plans, Floodplain Mapping and Permitting. Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates Provide assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
