About The Position
The Transportation/Distribution Router in a Food Industry environment is primarily responsible for developing and implementing cost-effective routing solutions to a wide range of customers in the Greater Los Angeles County area, including Riverside, Palm Desert, Inland Empire, San Diego, Ventura, and Santa Barbara. The role ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction while monitoring time delivery window compliance, routing within DOT Hours of Service, and recommending route improvements by considering traffic patterns, parking challenges, and other factors impacting delivery capabilities. The position requires continuous analysis of routes, vehicle and driver assignments, and scheduling for possible consolidation or improvements.
