Requirements

  • Prior experience in dispatching or transportation is a bonus.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Dispatch experience in the transportation, logistics, or trucking industry, preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience, preferred.
  • Area knowledge of Arizona & New Mexico.
  • Self-motivated with an unstoppable drive for success.
  • A natural talent for organization and multitasking.
  • Stellar communication skills that keep everyone in the loop.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to master new programs quickly.
  • Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate information in verbal and written form, as well as the ability to listen to, and understand information conveyed verbally or in writing.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to divide with 10s and 100s; ability to perform mathematical functions using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • While performing the duties of this position, an employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, see, hear, and speak.
  • While performing the duties of this position, an employee may occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals or substances.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Place customer orders and coordinate loading and delivery of commodities.
  • Craft precise time schedules to meet shipping dates and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Work alongside an amazing team to plan and schedule qualified drivers for loads.
  • Cross-training in each dispatch division
  • Navigate unforeseen challenges like a pro and keep everything on track.
  • Be the key link in communication with drivers, managers, and customers fostering a seamless workflow.
  • Collaborate with our Maintenance Department to keep the equipment in tip-top shape.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following company safety rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
