Position Summary: Provide support to the distribution center's transportation department. Coordinates and dispatches over the road drivers. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Requirements

  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate information to all contacts.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.
  • Skill and diplomacy dealing with people.
  • PC skills with a minimum working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and display the Customer 1 st Strategy at all times.
  • Adapt to any technological programs and requirements pertaining to the job.
  • Understand the processing and execution of orders, setting up equipment, drivers and backhauls.
  • Ability to trace, track, and locate shipments inbound or out bound.
  • Initiate schedules and correspondences with drivers, all of operations, vendors, and buyers.
  • Willingness to learn and advance as the job may expand.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Communicate with all levels of the business, displaying trust and competency at all times.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
