About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Transportation Dispatcher in Manassas, Virginia. The Transportation Dispatcher position is responsible for coordinating and directing the activities of assigned Logistics drivers in a manner that promotes the highest possible customer satisfaction, achieves business objectives and fosters high employee morale, teamwork and development.

Requirements

• Strong logistical background and transportation experience.
• Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulation compliance.
• Working knowledge of delivery area.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with computers, Windows applications, and industry-specific software.
• Ability to work shifts including days, nights, and/or weekends.
