About the position
Schemmer Associates Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented full-time Transportation Designer in Tulsa, OK. This role involves assisting transportation engineers in developing project plans and supporting a project team in adhering to agency and company CADD standards. The position focuses on roadway and large highway projects, utilizing engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation Connect. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to design standards and client satisfaction, contributing to the success of the engineering division.
Responsibilities
- Assist transportation engineers in developing project plans.
- Support project teams in verifying agency and company CADD standards.
- Work on roadway and large highway projects using AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation Connect.
- Provide plan drafting, detailing, and perform quantity calculations.
- Participate in design-related production activities as assigned.
Requirements
- Associates Degree with emphasis in Engineering/CADD Drafting or a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2+ years of civil engineering transportation design experience.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
- Experience preparing engineering details, plans, and quantities.
- General computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
