Transportation Crew Leader
About The Position
This is structure craftwork of a supervisory nature that may involve the maintenance, repair, and rebuild of heavy vehicle, automotive, and construction equipment. Work may include diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems, evaluating overall condition, and directing and assigning the repair of heavy vehicle, automotive, and construction equipment. Work is performed under limited supervision. To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience: Two-year combination of experience, or education in highway/bridge construction, fleet equipment repair, or transportation related maintenance including at least one year of lead worker experience. Must possess the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities noted above with a high school diploma or equivalent. Required to work at a higher class as necessary and in accordance with required licenses and/or certifications.
Requirements
- Two-year combination of experience, or education in highway/bridge construction, fleet equipment repair, or transportation related maintenance including at least one year of lead worker experience.
- Must possess the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities noted above with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class A motor vehicle license as issued by the State of Maine and completion of the 30 hour OSHA Safety course in construction (20 CFR Part 1926).
