About The Position

The LD&T Coordinator (Dock Scheduler) serves as the key liaison between carriers and the Tracy, CA distribution center. This role is crucial for managing the dock schedule for inbound and outbound orders, ensuring that customer business needs are met while optimizing warehouse efficiencies from a transportation and scheduling perspective.

Requirements

• Experience in a logistics-related field.
• Functional knowledge of warehousing, transportation, customer service, and operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Analytical skills to interpret reporting/data for performance improvement.
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience with TMS, SAP, and WMS is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Tender loads to carriers using the Transportation Management System (TMS) to meet customer requested ship dates.
• Route orders daily in compliance with the transportation route guide to ensure timely execution and secure carrier capacity.
• Operate the TMS to route orders, track carrier performance, and troubleshoot loads at risk of missing arrival dates.
• Ensure compliance of new orders with guidelines on weight and method of shipment.
• Schedule appointments in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for all loads, coordinating with the third-party facility manager on dock capacity.
• Maintain the trailer pool with drop carriers.
• Collaborate with Customer Account Specialists (CAS) on scheduling issues.
• Maintain reason code input within WMS for open order status reporting.
• Review the previous day's dock schedule to ensure all orders shipped.
