Responsibilities Coordinate and book outbound freight shipments with contracted carriers. Monitor shipments from load-out through final delivery to ensure on-time performance. Enter and manage load information using the company’s Transportation Management System (McLeod). Approve and audit carrier invoices to ensure billing accuracy. Manage relationships and daily communication with a fleet of approximately ten contracted carriers. Track and resolve delivery issues, delays, or service disruptions. Coordinate with internal departments to address shipment-related questions or issues. Maintain knowledge of and compliance with DOT regulations and transportation industry requirements. Ensure all shipments are executed in accordance with company transportation policies and customer expectations. Communication Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to communicate effectively with carriers, customers, and internal teams. Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence as required. Reasoning Ability Ability to identify problems, collect relevant data, and develop effective solutions. Ability to interpret written, verbal, and technical instructions. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with transportation management software preferred. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to: Sit for extended periods while working at a computer or phone. Use hands and arms to operate office equipment and computers. Occasionally move throughout the facility. Communicate effectively via phone and in person. Perform occasional field visits to industrial or operational areas as required. Maintain visual acuity for computer work and documentation review. Work Environment The work environment is a combination of corporate office and manufacturing facility settings. While performing job duties, the employee may occasionally be exposed to cold or humid conditions and may be near moving mechanical equipment within operational areas.
