This new hire will work at the Regional Distribution Center, located at 1550 MS 302 in Byhalia, MS. The role will report to a Team Manager. Requirements

  • GED Minimum level of education
  • Familiarity with office, warehouse and shipping procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years Transporation experience
  • Proficient in ERP system; SAP preferred.
  • Proficient in email, computers, the internet and Microsoft family of computer software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare domestic, hazardous, Signature Brands and export shipping documents through S.A.P.
  • Work with warehouse crews to resolve and correct in S.A.P. warehouse, delivery, or shipment issues in order to prepare and load shipments.
  • Coordinate with Distribution Coordinator to troubleshoot future shipments and deliveries to prioritize workload.
  • Communicate with carriers and drivers.
  • Ensure that all shipments have shipped daily, monthly and quarterly within S.O.X. compliance guidelines.
  • Create outbound Will Call shipments upon contact by carriers.
  • Update multiple shipment schedules.
  • Email schedules and end of day updates.
  • Correct shipment or carrier problems if possible. If not possible, create a temporary solution that can be fully resolved the next day.
  • Manage and post inbound schedule.
  • Make changes as needed
  • Answer carrier inquiries regarding drivers, appointments, directions, or equipment needs.
  • Interact with both inbound and outbound drivers.
  • Work with Customer Service, Transportation Planning, Crew Leaders, and/or Carrier Management when requested to help resolve issues or answer questions.
  • Troubleshoot hazardous shipping discrepancies by querying S.A.P. for hazardous information, then identify and correct any potential hazardous material shipping issues.
  • Back up timekeeper as needed and run LMS reports, and run month end reports as needed
  • Post Supplier vendor inbound data
  • Any other office related duties as assigned
