As a Transportation Construction Inspector, you will undertake various technical responsibilities related to the inspection of materials and workmanship in highway construction projects. Your duties will include conducting comprehensive inspections and compaction testing to ensure compliance with contract specifications, certification standards, and departmental procedures. You will monitor different phases of highway construction, such as verifying grades, elevations, and the layout of roadways and simple structures. Additionally, you will maintain ongoing documentation of project activities such as notating completed work, creating item quantity and project cost estimates, and calculating various mathematical equations necessary for project completion.
