MSA has an opportunity for a Transportation Engineering Intern for the spring/summer of 2026 in either our Baraboo, Appleton or Marshfield, WI offices. This position will offer students hands-on project exposure to a variety of transportation projects. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve.   • Office Work/Design
  • CAD work and 3D design on highway and bridge improvement projects
  • Project plan & specifications development
  • Providing quantity take off reviews and developing estimates for highway and bridge construction projects
  • Topographic survey, or other project data collection
  • Construction field inspection/staking operations
  • Complete Inspector Daily Reports (IDR's) and other DOT reports
  • Measure and compute item quantities installed on the project
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA required
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (or related) in Civil Engineering required, transportation focus preferred
  • Sophomore to senior standing required
  • A valid driver's license required
  • Previous related engineering intern or co-op experience preferred
  • Prior experience in the transportation field preferred
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Microstation or AutoCAD experience preferred
  • A desire to learn more about transportation engineering projects in a consulting industry
  • This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.
