About The Position

Transportation Engineer 1/Transportation Civil Engineer (TCE), Construction Department, PNs 20054080, 20056253, 20054069 Work Location\: District 4 Headquarters, 2088 South Arlington Road, Akron, OH 44306 Transportation Engineer 1 hire will complete ODOT’s Transportation Civil Engineering Program to include a 12 month training plan & scheduled rotation through the department’s core engineering disciplines; Planning & Engineering, Construction and Highway Maintenance. What You Will Do: You will receive a thorough introduction to the three core civil engineering disciplines. You will work alongside of ODOT professional engineers. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Accepted for Basic Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (EIT exam) by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors
• Civil Engineering Technical Skills
• Civil Engineering Professional Skills: Attention to Detail; Customer Focus; Teamwork
