The primary duties of the Transportation Civil Coordinator-EIT include: - Work on a team with other project engineers on the design of highways and roads, and waterfront and aviation infrastructure projects. - Design alignments and profiles, geometric layouts, utilities and drainage infrastructure, and develop plans, specifications and construction estimates. - Aid with the creation of engineering calculations and technical reports. - Provide assistance with engineering services during construction, including responding to requests for information, reviewing material submittals, and performing construction inspections. - Working independently on small tasks and assisting senior engineers on larger, more complex projects. - Being responsible for supporting the development of new and existing Transportation clients in Hawaii and the Pacific Region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Civil Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D preferred, but not required.
  • Preference given to local candidates
