About The Position
Join the V3 Team and take your career to the next level! We are looking for a Transportation Civil Designer to join our Transportation Group in either our Woodridge, IL or Chicago, IL office. This position will provide transportation design and consulting services. We are committed to delivering high-quality projects that meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0-4 years of related experience on projects for clients such as IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Chicago DOT, County DOT’s and local municipalities.
- OpenRoads Designer proficiency.
- EIT certification.
Responsibilities
- Design and prepare engineering drawings using Bentley’s OpenRoads Designer for roadway and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
- Prepare construction specifications.
- Perform preliminary engineering tasks such as traffic studies, intersection design studies, geometric studies and project report development.
- Handle client relations as needed.
- Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
