By joining our Equipment Section as a Transportation Auto/Truck Supervisor, you'll supervise a group of automotive/truck technicians and perform difficult and complicated repair and maintenance of automotive/truck or diesel vehicles and equipment in Grant County. Provides technical assistance to other techs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Supervises and assigns technicians throughout the District in repairs and maintenance of automotive/truck and diesel vehicles and equipment. Responsible for approving timesheets, conducting performance appraisals for Equipment Section. Performs complicated mechanical repair work on automotive/truck and diesel vehicles. Operates various technical machinery and tools in completing automotive/truck and diesel equipment. Inspects and road tests all repairs for completeness ard quality. Keeps records and prepares reports of work performed. Ideal candidate will have experience in: Eight years of Automotive/truck Repair Technical experience including two years of automotive/truck repair supervisory experience Must possess a Class A CDL license. Requirements

  • Must have eight years of automotive/equipment/truck repair technical experience including two years of automotive/truck supervisory experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to qualify for employment in this job classification.
  • Must be Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified Master Technician in Medium/Heavy Truck test series, or possess ASE Master Technician certification in automobile test series.
  • Employees in this job title must furnish the agency's appointing authority within six months of employment in the job classification, documentation that he or she possesses a valid Class A commercial driver's license.
  • Must complete agency supervisory training within probationary period.
  • Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification.
  • Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
