About The Position

The Transportation Associate plays a critical role in supporting Bombas’ inbound and outbound transportation operations. This role is ideal for someone early in their transportation or logistics career who is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with data, and eager to learn how a fast-growing eCommerce business operates at scale.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with transportation or logistics responsibilities, in a business setting
  • Intermediate Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
  • Experience reporting on metrics using BI tools (Looker preferred)
  • Experience working with freight forwarders and small parcel carriers
  • Experience using an ERP system (NetSuite preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Track inbound metrics in Looker and report out on performance and exceptions.
  • Track inbound overages and shortages. Update Packing Lists / Commercial Invoices for 3PLs and import compliance.
  • Reconcile open purchase orders in NetSuite ERP. Correspond with 3PLs to resolve missing or discrepant receipts.
  • Calculate and maintain available-to-sell (ATS) dates and communicate shipment delays to Merch & Planning.
  • Track ocean and air freight bookings. Support shipments with delays or unforeseen issues.
  • Create and monitor rules for automated bookings.
  • Manage inbound and outbound donation shipments in partnership with the Giving team.
  • Track outbound metrics in Looker and report out on performance and exceptions. This includes support for US-domestic and international shipments respectively and from each 3PL. Metrics include transit times, cost, weights, destination, and volumes by carrier and service.
  • Track carrier exceptions and partner with the Customer Happiness Team on resolution.
  • Provide volume forecasts by service level to each carrier, covering sellable versus donation shipments, and for on and off-peak periods.
  • Establish returns reporting and transition today’s manual approach to Looker in partnership with the Data & Analytics team.
  • Book and manage inter-DC freight transfers and track cost-per-unit trends.
  • Support month-end transportation expense reporting.
