About The Position

Our 10-week paid internship program has been developed to provide students with hands-on experience to learn more about the Healthcare industry and the impact to human and animal health. This internship program will provide you with professional development, networking and volunteer opportunities. You will learn about the Guiding Principles of our culture but most importantly, have the opportunity to become a key contributor in the future talent pipeline of Cencora.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Must not require sponsorship to work in the US now or in the future.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Proven people/project leadership throughout your academic career (on- or off- campus).
• Ability to work in an unstructured environment with the ability to make tradeoff decisions quickly.
• Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to give/receive constructive feedback.
• Flexibility for relocation will allow for greater advancement opportunities.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Good project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.

• Knowledge of computers to operate effectively with PowerPoint presentations, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transportation metrics and analytics: Utilize tools like Power BI to collect, analyze, and visualize transportation data.
• Generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, cost per mile, or carrier performance metrics.
• Document processes and flows: Work closely with the team to document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for transportation and logistics activities.
• Create process flows and diagrams to improve understanding and ensure consistent execution of tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with other departments such as warehousing, procurement, customer service, and IT to ensure seamless integration of transportation operations within the overall supply chain.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives: Identify opportunities for streamlining transportation processes or enhancing efficiency.
• Propose innovative solutions or improvements based on best practices within the industry.
• Stay updated on industry trends: Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry developments related to transportation logistics.
