About The Position

All duties and responsibilities for a transportation and behavior interventionist position. This position will support students in various capacities during the school day by providing transportation support and behavioral support. This position may have the opportunity to earn additional income when asked to cover for support staff positions on transportation routes. See the complete job description below.

Requirements

High school diploma is required.
Excellent communication and organization skills.

Experience working with students in an educational setting or on a bus is preferred

Responsibilities

Work in conjunction with the corporation special education department, transportation department, and administration.
Work specifically with assistant principals, counselors, and the BCSC behavior consultant.
Serve as a daily bus aide for one developmental preschool mid-day route.
Serve as a bus substitute aide when necessary, as determined by corporation needs and the transportation department.
Assist students with behavior modifications and develop skills needed to be successful during school and while riding on the bus.
Work with general education teachers and special education teachers to assist with small group instruction for students who need additional support based on bus behavior.
Assist the assistant principal and counselor with behavior intervention and social-emotional learning, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) as it relates to bus behavior.
Work with the behavior consultant to track student data and progress monitor student goals based on bus behavior.
Serve PreK-12 students and classrooms in various capacities as determined by school numbers and needs.
Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the administration.
