About The Position
As a member of the EDN Supply Chain leadership, you will be essential to both daily operational success and our strategic initiatives. This role will direct a team of supply chain analysts and leverage multiple internal and 3rd party service platforms to ensure operational and business success. The role spans truck, rail, and marine modes of transportation plus internal and 3rd party vendor services (warehouses, terminals, transloaders, etc.) for our North America business with multiple production facilities in North America and imports/exports with BASF affiliates and customers globally. The Transportation and Distribution team's primary responsibility is to ensure logistics services are aligned with cost targets as required to satisfy our operational and customer requirements. This success is ensured through distribution network setup and planning, service level agreements, budgeting and cost management, and business alignment. As the leader, you have responsibility to identify and implement strategic change relative to network optimization, vendor selection and management, digitalization, process changes and team skill development. The Manager's leadership is critical to facilitate a Continuous Improvement approach to our activities and ultimately impact our Customer Experience success.
