About The Position
The Transportation Analyst is a pivotal role within Ryder's Supply Chain Solutions division, located in Etna, OH. This position is responsible for managing various Transportation Management business processes, including procurement, Freight Bill Audit & Payment, and Shipment Planning & Execution. The primary goal is to ensure that Ryder's solutions effectively meet customer requirements while driving continuous cost and service improvements. The analyst will engage in repeatable analysis and tasks, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance operational efficiency. This role requires interfacing with both customers and carriers, representing Ryder in meetings, and ensuring that all processes align with customer expectations. In this role, the Transportation Analyst will monitor and manage key performance indicators, executing root cause analysis using TM operating systems. They will provide support for data processing, reporting analysis, and addressing customer-specific inquiries. The analyst will interact with clients to resolve issues and coordinate implementations, working closely with internal subject matter experts to address challenges and support project rollouts. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for processing and distributing customer metrics, preparing performance reports, and initiating continuous process improvement activities. The position also involves measuring transportation network costs and service performance, analyzing and developing improvement initiatives, and coordinating TM procurement activities to achieve optimal cost/service solutions. The analyst will prepare materials for client account reviews and evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement at assigned accounts. This role is essential for maintaining Ryder's reputation for excellence in logistics and supply chain management.
