About The Position

Reporting to the Sr. Freight Analyst, the Transportation Analyst will strive to become the resident expert on all transportation related set-ups in CIS to drive accurate freight calculation & billing as well as shipment routing rules. The Transportation Analyst will develop and report on transportation performance and KPIs. Learning industry knowledge, best practices and an in-depth knowledge of TD Synnex's operations, the Transportation Analyst will actively collaborate with the Operations teams, carriers and customers to define and implement strategies to improve performance, reduce cost and increase customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed reporting and KPI reporting to measure, monitor and improve carrier and cost performance and to reduce carrier claims.
  • Identify, justify, and present continuous improvement opportunities for increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving service.
  • Work and interface closely with various departments including Logistics, Freight Claims, Procurement, Transportation and Supply Chain Management Services to optimize transportation strategies.
  • Assist in transportation projects that drive value for the business & for customers.
  • Provide root cause analysis on vital metrics (KPI) trends in areas such as service and cost.
  • Ensure accurate transportation set ups in CIS including freight rates, carrier service & routing rules in collaboration with the Sr Freight Analyst and Ops IT
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned
