About The Position

The Transportation Aide ensures the safe transportation of all participants during transport to and from the PACE center, all medical appointments, home, and any other destination scheduled by the PACE program. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and performing maintenance checks of the vehicles at all times. The aide also supports the department in achieving efficient operations and other departmental objectives. This role may involve delivering medications, supplies, food, laundry, or other items as directed. The position requires providing door-through-door service for every participant and assumes responsibility for all communication to the supervisor or designee while the van is in motion by another staff member. This role supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write in English
  • BLS required
  • Licenses, Registration, Insurance is required
  • Minimum 1 year working with the frail and elderly required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual
