  • Clear, confident communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business judgment and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, hire, develop, and coach the Transportation Administration team, including goal setting, performance management, training, and project support.
  • Build strong working relationships with cross-functional partners and external vendors (e.g., SaaS providers, support services, and carrier partners).
  • Recommend and guide TMS configuration and optimization strategies that support business objectives.
  • Partner with Supply Chain leadership to help shape the roadmap for future enhancements and evolving business needs.
  • Implement and monitor metrics that reduce manual touches and improve freight pay performance and system efficiency.
  • Supervise freight claims processes and negotiate settlements.
  • Support procurement events by consolidating/cleansing data, vetting carriers, and enabling onboarding activities.
  • Participate in projects and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize end-to-end flow of goods across Supply Chain functions.
  • Serve as primary backup for the Transportation System Analyst.
  • Ensure systems and processes used to route freight, receive invoices, and pay carriers/vendors operate efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain a TMS resiliency plan and drive mitigating actions during technical disruptions.
  • Act as an advocate between Transportation and IT to support enhancements and integration improvements.
  • Create and analyze TMS reports to drive operational improvements and manage transportation expenses.
  • Build dashboards (e.g., Tableau) to track service, plan adherence, and financial performance.
  • Partner with the Data & Analytics team to enhance and strengthen reporting solutions.

Benefits

  • Your handprint will be visible. You’ll shape how transportation systems, analytics, and processes work, then see the impact in performance, cost, and service.
  • Big opportunities, grounded in a people-first culture. You’ll have the resources to do meaningful work, with the flexibility and support to do your best work.
  • A role that blends leadership + strategy + execution. If you enjoy leading a team while solving process and data challenges, you’ll feel “just right” here.
