About The Position

The Transport Team Respiratory Therapist Registered provides care to critically ill and/or injured patients in the transport environment. Various transport media such as helicopter, airplane, ground ambulance, etc. Collaborates and coordinates patient care with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers both internally and externally. This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this department. Requirements

• 3 years Critical care RT experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans and implements patient care following clinical protocols in a manner that affords the greatest benefit.
• Plans and implements patient care while working with multi-disciplinary services and other health care providers.
• Works to ensure patients remain safe during the transitions of care and during transport.
• Functions as a team member adhering to safety practices and fostering a safe environment with other team members.
• Collaborates with and supports the leadership team in developing business strategies to grow the service lines and gain operational efficiencies.
