About The Position

The Transport Supervisor at Frye Regional Medical Center is responsible for overseeing the transport operations within the facility. This role involves supervising the transport of patients, specimens, and equipment, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. The supervisor will also be involved in employee management, including performance evaluations, attendance policy enforcement, and competency assessments. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide departmental personnel and ensure quality and safety standards are met. Additionally, the supervisor will assist in maintaining transport supplies and equipment, monitor requests through the Patient Tracking system, and participate in the hiring process for transport staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
  • CPI Required.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises operations of Transport departments.
  • Completes employee annual performance evaluations.
  • Ensures Attendance policy is followed.
  • Completes annual employee competencies.
  • Assigns personnel for proper coverage of daily Transport operations.
  • Monitors requests made through Patient Tracking system.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to departmental personnel.
  • Participates in peer interviews and hiring of Transport staff.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled staff meetings/in-services.
  • Ensures that quality and safety standards are met.
  • Assists in maintaining/clearing Transport supplies and equipment.
  • Makes corrections to payroll through Kronos system.
  • Assists transport personnel to complete assignments when needed.
  • Completes rounds in all nursing areas several times per day.
  • Maintains integrity of durable medical equipment (DME).
  • Ensures Healthstream EDU assignments standards are met.
  • Performs other job duties assigned.
