Requirements

  • Valid California Drivers License.
  • Must provide DMV report prior to offer being made.
  • No driving infractions 5 years prior to hire or during time in this job. Infractions include DUI, Suspended or Revoked License, Reckless Driving

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in customer service
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Transports patients between their home and Kaweah Health Exeter Health Clinic.
  • Assures patients arrive on time and in a safe manner.
  • Treats passengers in accordance with physical and age-related needs.
  • Assures all patients are assisted in and out of the van as necessary.
  • Meets all safety standards and assures safe transportation of all passengers at all times.
  • Ensures that all passengers under 6 years of age or less who weigh less than 60 pounds are placed in a child passenger seat.
  • Performs daily vehicle inspection and reflects this action on the daily inspection log.
  • Performs basic vehicle maintenance to assure proper levels of gas, oil, water, air, and other basics.
  • Reports any mechanical problems to manager.
  • As assigned, may transport medical documents, equipment or make other deliveries.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
