Requirements

Completion of CDL truck driving school
Minimum 1 year of experience in route delivery experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in driving straight truck
Basic computer skills
Valid Commercial Driver s License (CDL), Class A or Class B.
Clean driving record; must pass physical exam

Responsibilities

Efficiently deliver product to company satellite locations, rotate and count inventory if necessary, process paperwork accurately, follow driver safety rules and provide professional customer service.
Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times.
Handle company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules, and perform pre-trip inspection.
Ensure routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes or tire rotations, are performed in a timely manner on the delivery vehicle(s).
Report accidents and injuries and any damage to equipment immediately.
Exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities.
Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary.
Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law.
