A Transport Driver is responsible for the loading, transporting, and delivery of fuel to clients within a designated region. This position will allow driver to be home at night. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES include: Loading of Fuel – Retrieve dispatch instructions; ensure authorization for loading at all terminals; validate correct supplier when initiating the load sequence; validate correct brand and loading volume selection prior to loading; initiate actual loading; and, retrieve bill of lading and verify accuracy prior to departure. Transportation of Fuel – Observe all speed limits and DOT rules; refrain from unauthorized cell phone usage, texting and smoking during travel; and, demonstrate patience and personal control during transportation process. Delivery of Fuel – Verify location by address prior to initiating delivery process; identify presence at the facility; verify tank content volume and calculate delivery gallons; load tank; verify tank volume and validate delivery volume; take immediate action on any problems that occur such as hose rupture, flash fire, or spill; and, deliver bill of lading and all paperwork to designated location by end of day. Class of Equipment – Tanker and Bobtail This job may also include other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
