About The Position

Knife River is looking for a qualified, safe and reliable heavy haul transport driver to deliver equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Deliver equipment and materials to commercial and construction projects in a safe and efficient manner. Operate a truck pulling a flatbed trailer equipped to transport mining components, and heavy equipment. Operational knowledge of heavy equipment to be hauled, and ability to load and unload equipment from lowboy trailer. Measure load height, length, and width. Must be able to use chains and binders to secure equipment and components. Have a working knowledge of DOT heavy haul permitting. Maintain equipment, accurate driver paperwork, and legal load limits. Be willing to drive other type of truck assigned by supervisor such as belly, side, and end dumps. Position may require some hauls out of town. Requirements

  • Previous experience hauling heavy equipment.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL, Medical card, and clean MVR.
  • Equipment operating experience is a plus.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
  • Ability to work flexible hours which may include overtime.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude.
