The position involves driving a tractor/trailer truck to make local regional deliveries (up to a 275-mile radius) of predominantly finished products or raw materials/supplies to company distribution and manufacturing centers. The driver will be responsible for obtaining proper authorization for all deliveries and pick-ups, inspecting the vehicle for proper and safe operating conditions before and after each trip, and maintaining a DOT driver's log while adhering to all DOT regulations. This is a part-time role requiring 24-30 hours of work on weekends, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time in the future. The working hours are flexible based on availability, with shifts primarily from 2 PM to 2 AM, and may include AM shift openings upon hiring. The position is classified as no-touch freight work, allowing the driver to be home daily.
