About The Position

The Class A Transport driver's responsibilities are customer service focus & a minimal degree of physical activity. The role primarily performs "drop and hook" deliveries.

Requirements

Minimum Age: 21, as per Federal D.O.T. regulations
Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
Must pass clearinghouse; have a good driving record, according to company requirements.
Must be able to operate manual shift
Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.
Must be able to work independently.
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills required.
Must be organized and detail-oriented.
Experience in food/beverage product delivery and customer service preferred.
Minimum 1-year verifiable experience driving Class A commercial vehicle preferred.
English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be beneficial based on business necessity.
Must have Class A commercial driver's license with Air Brake endorsement (must also possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with FMCSA Part 391.41 prior to operating a commercial motor vehicle for the company)
Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.
Must be able to routinely lift over 60 pounds and push/pull up to 300 pounds with a handheld hook.
Will be required to work in very hot (100°+) and very cool (less than 32°) environments throughout the year.
Will also be required to work outside most of the time, regardless of the conditions.

Nice To Haves

Experience in food/beverage product delivery and customer service preferred.
Minimum 1-year verifiable experience driving Class A commercial vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive truck over established route to deliver the product at customer locations.
Perform Motor Vehicle Inspections on trucks to conform to DOT regulations and company policy and assist with routine maintenance on trucks.
Exhibit courteousness toward customers, work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors, maintain a neat appearance, and follow established policies and direction of management.
Maintain vehicle and hours of service logs as required by DOT.
Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
Must be able to operate a handheld computer.
Must be able to operate a powered lift truck (pallet jack).
