At the TGH Transplant Institute and USF Health, our hepatologists care for a diverse population with complex liver disease, supported by advanced technologies and seamless integration with transplant surgery. Faculty are active in over 70 clinical trials and help train the next generation of GI and transplant providers. Position Highlights Full-scope role in general and transplant hepatology, including pre- and post-transplant care Teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and GI fellows Opportunities to participate in clinical research and innovation TGH is the primary teaching hospital for USF Health Morsani College of Medicine Clinical FTE negotiable based on experience and academic interests (e.g., grant funding) Program Excellence #1 Transplant Institute Nationally by Volume Over 50 years of transplant excellence 279 liver and 500 kidney transplants performed in 2024 Ranked as the #3 liver transplant program nationally, and #1 in Florida Faculty appointment with USF Morsani College of Medicine Excellent clinical outcomes and strong focus on health equity Innovative machine perfusion program Only center in West Central Florida performing adult heart, lung, kidney, pancreas, and liver transplants Advancing Transplantation Through Research Our hepatology team is actively engaged in clinical trials and translational research in areas such as: NAFLD & NASH: Novel therapeutics and biomarkers for diagnosis, staging, and treatment Cirrhosis & Decompensation: Early intervention strategies and predictors of disease progression Liver Cancer (HCC): Targeted therapies, surveillance models, and early detection in high-risk populations Transplant Outcomes: Post-transplant liver disease recurrence and quality of life Benefits Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience Robust medical, dental, and vision plans Generous accrued time off (ATO) 403(b) retirement plan with matching opportunities Annual CME benefit including monetary allowance and days off Who We’re Seeking We are looking for hepatologists with an interest in liver transplantation to join our nationally recognized hepatology program. This hospital-employed position includes a faculty appointment at the University of South Florida (USF) and offers a dynamic blend of clinical practice and academic involvement, with opportunities for teaching, research, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

- Board eligible or board certified in Transplant Hepatology
