Interstate Power Systems is seeking an experienced Allison Transmission Service Mechanic for our Billings, Montana location. This role is crucial for diagnosing, removing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty Allison transmissions used in commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate will possess specialized knowledge of Allison transmissions and a proven track record of delivering high-quality service. As an Allison Transmission Service Mechanic, you will primarily focus on transmission-related issues, including diesel engines and bumper-to-bumper truck repairs. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing transmission non-conformance, as well as diagnosing and repairing basic equipment wiring. This position may also involve performing other routine duties as needed. We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude, strong goal-setting abilities, and a desire to pursue certification opportunities for the most updated product training. Solid written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a high school degree or equivalent. A technical degree or Allison certification is a plus, and candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience working with Allison transmissions. Additionally, the ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs is required, and candidates must be physically able to lift and work without restrictions.
