About The Position

This position is responsible for rebuilding manual transmissions to company remanufacturing standards, inspecting used parts for reusability, and utilizing diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical issues. The role requires collaboration with a skilled team of technicians to ensure efficient workflow, meet production goals, and conduct quality inspections. Additionally, the position involves operating various machinery and tools safely, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean work environment. Strong problem-solving skills, punctuality, and flexibility to take on additional tasks are essential. Requirements

If you do not have all the skills you need for this position, Weller will train you.
We just need you to have a “can do, ready to learn” mindset.
Must stand for 8+ hours per day.
Frequent walking.
Hearing protection may be required in some areas.
The ability to see fine details may be required during performance of some functions.
Fine motor skills are required (finger / hand manipulation).
May need to lift weight greater than 35 lbs. at times.
Maintains regular and punctual attendance as a key responsibility of the position.

Responsibilities

Rebuilds manual transmissions in accordance with company remanufacturing standards, ensuring high-quality performance.
Inspects used parts and components, evaluating reusability based on established remanufacturing guidelines.
Effectively employs diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
Works collaboratively with a team of skilled technicians to optimize workflow and meet production goals.
Conducts thorough quality inspections to ensure the finished products meet all required specifications.
Operates press machines, torches, power tools, and hand tools with precision and safety.
Adheres to safety protocols, always maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve operational challenges.
Maintains regular and punctual attendance as a key responsibility of the position.
Completes additional tasks as assigned to support the team and operations.
