In the role of Transmission Line Project Manager, we'll count on you to: Manage and lead transmission projects throughout the entire project life cycle, including scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, quality control, schedule, and budget management. Track financial aspects of projects and adjusting work effort with the team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule. Work independently and/or directing staff workload through the entire project life cycle, so that project deliverables are completed on schedule. Lead the QA/QC process following HDR’s Quality Management System requirements with a commitment to delivering world class quality. At times, being responsible for overseeing non-engineering components of projects, including public involvement, environmental permitting, right of way acquisition, construction management, and other services. Support client relationship development and engage in broader business development activities with existing and target clients. Depending on candidate’s location, there would be an opportunity to recruit and supervise a team and provide oversight over workload, quality, utilization, team morale, and team development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum 2 years project management experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Experience and client relationships in the Area are considered a strong advantage
  • Master’s degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
